- McHugh, Donald A.Donald A. McHugh, Hortonville, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on Novemb er 12, 2005 in Rockford, Illinois, while returning from Branson, Missouri, traveling on a bus trip. Donald was born on February 8, 1933 in Hortonv ille son of the late Arthur and Irene (Hofacker) McHugh. On September 8, 1 954 he married Gladys Huiting in Little Chute. Don lived and farmed in t he Hortonville area all his life. He drove school bus for the Hortonvil le School District for 38 years. He was currently president of the Nation al Farmers Organization of Outagamie County.Don was Grand Knight for Council 7895 and also a member of the 4th Degr ee Allouez Assembly of Knights of Columbus, and a member of their Honor Gu ard. He was currently serving on the Parish Council for SS Peter & Paul Ca tholic Church. He was a retired fireman from the Ellington Fire Departmen t. Don enjoyed playing cards with family and friends and going on bus trip s.Don is survived by his wife, Gladys; three daughters: Patricia Teachout, N ew London; Jean (Robert) Thyssen, Larsen; Ann (Jeff) Kearn, Greenville; s ix sons: Michael McHugh, Hortonville; James (Sherie) McHugh, Hortonvill e; Mark (Dolly) McHugh, New London; Daniel McHugh, Greenville; Thomas (Valerie) McHugh, Hortonville; Kevin McHugh, Appleton; four brothers: Robert ( Geniel) McHugh, Hortonville; Patrick McHugh, Shiocton; David (Kay) McHug h, Hortonville; and Dennis McHugh, Shiocton; four sisters: Mildred McHug h, Shiocton; Mary Ann Broehm, Milwaukee; Judy Swartz, Hillsboro Beach, Flo rida; Susan (Dennis) Ashauer, Greenville; a sister in-law, Doris (Mel) Joc hman, Darboy; and a brother in-law, Donald (Mary) Huiting, Appleton; 17 gr andchildren: Theresa, Paula, Brian, Andy, Joe, Amanda, Matt, Rhiannon, Jac ob, Emily McHugh; Chad and Crystal Teachout, Eric and Kim Kettner, Tyle r, Ryan and Kyle Thyssen; three godchildren: Barbara Hooyman, Darboy; Dav id Huiting, Florida; and James Reiland, Appleton; numerous nieces, nephew s, other relatives and friends also survive Don.He is preceded in death by his parents, sister in-law, Kathy McHugh, two b rother in-laws: Mike Swartz and Bob Broehm.Funeral mass for Don will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2005 at 11 a. m. at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hortonville with Rev. Msgr. Jam es Feeley and Fr. Paul Vanden Hogan officiating. Interment will be in S S. Peter & Paul Parish Cemetery in Hortonville. Friends may call from 4 -8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16 at Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hor tonville. A 7:30 prayer service will be held.
