- Bernadette A. Huss, age 83, w ho passed away Saturday February 12th 1994 at St. Paul Home. She was bo rn January 7, 1911 in the town of VandenBroek to John and Hattie (Gerrit s) VanAsten. She married Elmer Huss August 23rd 1932. She worked at Burke ns Piggly Wiggly in Appleton for 12 years. On January 6th, 1986 she retir ed from Larry's Piggly Wiggly in Little Chute after 22 years of servic e. She was a member of the St. John the Catholic Church, St. Elizabeth So ciety, the Golden Agers, the AARP, the Mustang auxiliary, Little Chute Dr um and Bugle Corps Parents group, and several card clubs. She is surviv ed by a daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Ed Ebben, Kaukauna, a son a nd daughter in law, Michael J. and Shirley Huss, Appleton, a son, Wayne Hu ss, Appleton, a daughter, Pamela Huss, Little Chute. She is a further sur vived by 11 grandchildren, Ann Ebben, Lynn and John Green, Lisa and Bri an Brennan, Craig and Bobby Joe Huss, Michael D. Huss, Wendy and Rich Perr onne, Brian, Brenda, Sherri, Travis and Jeff Huss, seven great-grandchildr en, Alan Reh, Parker and Macee Brennan, Ethan and Erin Green, Trevor Perro nne, Kelsi Hermans, four sisters in law, Barbara, Irene, Lexie and Joyce V anAsten, other survivors are Elsie Huss, Howard Verbeten and Lillian Hus s. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elmer on July 2 4th, 1965, an infant sister, Margaret; four brothers, Urban, Maurice, Melv in and Cy, a sister and brother in law, Mathilda "Tilly" and Ambrose Weigm an; a sister in law, Jean (Nytes) VanAsten. She enjoyed playing cards, bi ngo, weaving rugs, crocheting, and spending time with her family. Speci al thanks to Marydith Paulson and the staff of Colony Oaks and the St. Pa ul home. Funeral services will be 6:00 p.m. Tuesday February 15th, 19 93 at St. John Catholic Church with Reverend John Doerfler officiating. In ternment will be in St. John's cemetery.
