Shirley A. Huss, age 88, of Kaukauna, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Alten Haus in Neenah. She was born on November 30, 1927 to the late Lester and Caroline (Karls) Schlender. She married Cletus Huss on May 8, 1948.
Shirley spent many summers with her husband at their cottage on Lake Winnebago where they would enjoy the company of their neighbors. She loved crocheting and making many afghans and wash cloths for family members. Shirley was a member of Friends of 1000 Island's Nature Center and the VFW Auxiliary for many years. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her son, Terry (Barb) Huss; grandchildren: Mike (Meghan) Huss, Jennifer (Jon) Techlin, and Laura (Jerry) Bain; great grandchildren: Damian, Jeromy, and Gabriel Huss; Anna and Lucy Techlin; and Owen, Logan, Caleb, and Piper Bain; sisters-in-law: Donna Huss, Kay Huss, Jean Huss, and Mary Van Groll; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Cletus; sister Joan; brothers-in-law: Cyril (Marge) Huss, Roland Huss, Gary Huss, Clayton Huss, Peter Huss, Jr., and Marv Van Groll; and a sister-in-law: Joanne (George) Ver Voort; and other family members.
A Funeral Service for Shirley will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH AT ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 W Seventh Street, Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
