- Frank J. Dombrowski Jr., 72, died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010, at Theda Clark Medical Center after a short illness. Frank was born July 9, 1938, in Neenah, to the late "Chip" and Alma (Rasmussen) Dombrowski Sr. On Oct. 11, 1958, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Schmit at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Appleton. He worked for 44 years at George Banta, retiring in 2000.
He enjoyed stock car racing for many years in car number X100, acquiring many trophies along the way. He loved fishing, going to the casino, and his annual trips to Las Vegas and Florida.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Marilyn, Appleton; five daughters, Kathy Kronberg, Appleton; Karen (Mark) Hoelzel, Neenah; Kris Miller, Menasha; Kelly (Pete) Bruehl, Greenville; and Lori (Mike) Tyvol, Appleton; two sons, Frank "Butch" (special friend Sheri) Dombrowski, Menasha; and Mike (fiance Sara) Dombrowski, Appleton; nine grandchildren, Andy (Natalie) Dombrowski, Jennifer Kronberg, Chris Kronberg, Jimmy Kronberg, Mark Hoelzel Jr., Dan Hoelzel, Jacob Tyvol, Megan Tyvol, and Haile Magritz; two great-grandchildren, Ayden Dombrowski and Lexi Dombrowski; his sister, Sandy (Jerry) Sobiesczyk, Appleton; four sisters-in-law, Shirley (Bruce) Stevens, Waupaca; Elaine (Larry) Stevens, Waupaca; Esther (Marty) Schumacher, New London; and Carol Hoffman, Appleton; brother-in-law, Steve (Jane) Schmit, Appleton. He was further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Frank was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Doug Kronberg and Ed Miller, and brother in law Earl Hoffman.
The Funeral Liturgy for Frank will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 222 E. Fremont St., Appleton,7 with Father David Kelly officiating. Friends may visit from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 5, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel, and directly at the church Wednesday in the Sacred Heart Room from 9 a.m. until the time of service. Parish Prayer Service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

We have been together for over half a century. There have been some tough times, but also, many good ones. I will miss you and love you forever. You left us so fast we didn't even get to tell you goodbye - we love you.
