- Guntlisbergen, Elizabeth M.Elizabeth M. Guntlisbergen, 79, De Pere, formerly of Oneida, passed away M onday evening at her home. She was born May 1, 1923, in De Pere, daught er of the late John and Mary (Ven Rooy) VanDenHeuvel. On June 17, 1944, F r. Van Oeffel united her in marriage to Walter Guntlisbergen at St. Bonifa ce Catholic Church. Elizabeth was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Churc h, Oneida. She was a member of the Christian Mothers, a volunteer at An na John Nursing Home and the Bookkeeper for the parish cemetery for 35 yea rs. Elizabeth was an avid card player, and enjoyed her involvement in Ren ew and Bible Studies. She loved her children and grandchildren and great-g randchildren very much.Survivors include her husband Walter; her children, Arnold Guntlisberge n, Mary (Max) Behrendt, John (Beth) Guntlisbergen, Jane (Gene) Meiser, a nd Carol (Bob) Lenz; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren furth er survive her. Four sisters-in-law also survive, Elizabeth, Delores VanDe nHeuvel, Lois VanDenHeuvel, Della (Omer) VanDeHei, Helen Angrabright; a nd numerous nieces and nephews.Her brothers and sisters, Alfred, Ann (Joe), Minnie, George (Elsie), Magg ie (Alvin), Henry, Bill, and Josephine preceded her in death. She was furt her preceded in death by members of Walters family, Mary (Joseph), and Don ald.Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Ryan Funeral Home, De Pe re, with a Family Prayer Service at 7 p.m. to close the evening. Visitati on will continue on Friday after 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Churc h, Oneida, until the Mass Of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial wi ll be in the parish cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff of Unity Hospice and especially D r. Koch.She was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, a caring sister a nd a faithful friend.
