- Van De Hey, Robert A.Robert A. Van De Hey, Appleton, age 86, died on Thursday, December 8th, 20 05, at Pine Manor Health Care Center in Clintonville. Bob was born Augu st 18, 1919, to the late Josephine (Zwick) and John Van De Hey in Kaukaun a. He married the former Rita Diemeier on July 5, 1947, at Sacred Heart Ca tholic Church and celebrated 58 years together. Bob enlisted into the U. S. Army in 1941 and proudly served in Europe as a surgical technician unt il his honorable discharge in 1946. He was employed at Integrity Mutual In surance Company for 31 years retiring as Vice President of Claims. Bob w as a Charter Member of Sherwood American Legion Post 496 and a longtime me mber of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. He enjoyed to golf, fish, hunt a nd spend time at our cottage where friends and family were always welcom e. It was common for Bob to host family reunions at the cottage; he lov ed to sing with his brothers and sisters, which everyone always enjoyed. B ob's nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren were very special to h im. He loved them dearly and cherished the time he spent with them all.Bob will be sadly missed by his wife, Rita of Appleton; his two sons: Denn is (Jane) Van De Hey of Ft. Atkinson, WI and their children, Angela of Lon gmont, CO, Erin of Philadelphia, PA, Michael of Ft Atkinson and Jacqueli ne of Milwaukee, WI; Dale Van De Hey of Menasha and his children, Tanya (N ed) Johnson, Eric Van De Hey, Iraq, Amy (Scott) Springstroh and two childr en, Kelly and Benjamin; his daughter, Dr. Karen (Dr. Steve) Zelie of Denve r, CO and their two children, Joel of Denver, CO & Claire of Washington, D .C. He is also survived by Lloyd (Pat) Van De Hey, Connie (Dorothy) V an De Hey, Majiela Ambrosius, Kathy (Russ) Beck, Marie (Dick) Reitz and Th eresa Eiting. He will also be missed by a sister in law, Lucille Hammerlin g, two brothers in law, Robert Diermeier of Santee, CA and Clair Diemei er of Appleton, and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mil Van De Hey, Roche a nd Arvilla Van De Hey, Pauline Van De Hey, Ray Jonen, Norbert Ambrosiu s, S. Thiel, Robert, Frank and Harland Eiting, Harry Hammerling, Leon Diem eier, Mary and Erma Diemeieer, Janice LaRue, Bill Eiting, and Tim Thiel.Bob's Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday December 1 3, 2005 at ST. BERNADETTE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2331 East Lourdes Drive, Applet on, with Fr. Donald Zuleger officiating. Friends will be received on Monda y, December 12th at the Boettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Dri ve, Kaukauna, from 4 p.m. until a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m., and aga in at Tuesday at Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Full Milit ary Burial Rites will be performed after services outside the Church. In l ieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Associati on of Greater Wisconsin, 201 E.
