- Walter E. Duffy
Walter E. Duffy, 61, of 1045 Jefferson St.. died Sunday at 3:30 a.m. at Mercy Hospital, where he had been a patient one day. He was born in Portage on July 3. 1906, and was married to Katherine Gibson on Feb. 23. 1925. Mr. Duffy had been employed at North .American Rockwell Corp. for 15 years, and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Surviving are his widow. Katherine: two sons. M. Sgt. Robert Duffy, with the Army in Africa, and Richard Duffy. Oshkosh: two daughters. Mrs. Patricia F e a r n . Springfield. Ohio, and Mrs. Shirley Blechl. Oshkosh: three sisters. Miss Mary Duffy, Portage. Mrs. Helen Kennedy, in Arizona, and Mrs. Pearl Schnabel, Long Beach. Calif.: two brothers. Maurice Duffy. Oshkosh. and Glen Duffy. Portage, and 11 grandchildren. Services will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Fiss and Bills Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at St Peter Catholic Church, with the Rt. Rev. F. M. Mc- Keough officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-9 p.m. The rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., at which time Knights of Columbus will attend.
