- Eleanor R. (Coenen) Demerath, Kaukauna Age, 84, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2001, at an Appleton area nursi ng home. She was born January 9, 1917, in Kaukauna to John and Minnie (Wil liams) Simon. She married Richard Coenen on September 21, 1935, at St. Mar y's Catholic Church, Kaukauna. He preceded her in death on March 6, 196 9. After Richard's death she married George Demerath July 21, 1972. He al so preceded her on April 27, 1980. Eleanor enjoyed golfing, bowling, knitt ing, playing cards and sewing. She is survived by children Jim (Marlene ), Wrightstown; Judy (Bill) Ehlert, Vesper; Ted (Gail), Green Bay, Mark (L ynette), Wrightstown; 12 grandchildren, Terry, Chris, Julie, Karen, Ton y, Lori, Craig, Connie, Curt, Michelle, Danielle, and Chelsea; eight great -grandchildren; very special friend Ralph Wildenberg; seven step-childre n, Joyce (Bob) Huisenfeldt, Lorraine Brick, Linda (Keith) Peterson, Vern ( Karen) Demerath, Carlos (Lois) Demerath, Arlin (Sharon) Demerath, and Ga ry (Colleen) Demerath. She was preceded in death by her parents; husban ds Richard and George; step-son, Dennis; three brothers, and two sister s. Friends may call on Monday, July 30, 2001, at St. Paul Catholic Churc h, Wrightstown, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will foll ow visitation at 7 p.m. with Father Robert Kabat officiating. Burial wi ll be in the church cemetery.
