- Blanche Ione Mueller, 85, Appleton, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Care Partners in Little Chute. She was born Nov. 27, 1921, to the late John and Linnie (Maude) Young in Appleton. Blanche married Walter Mueller on Sept. 27, 1940, and he preceded her in death in 1992. Blanche enjoyed the many Friday nights of frying fish at her sister's tavern. Her favorite pastime was knitting, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her children, Warren (Joanne) Mueller, Hortonville; Sharon Mueller, Appleton; Norma (Keith) Gehring, Appleton and Cheryl (Chris) Hassell, Appleton; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Harold Mueller and Alvin (MaryAnn) Mueller.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; infant daughter, Charmaine; sister, Audrey (Robert) Eichinger; brother, Howard (Marie) Young; grandchildren, Paul Pahlke and LuAnn Marie Hassell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at First English Lutheran Church (326 E. North St.) in Appleton with Pastor George Detweiler officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and again Tuesday one hour prior to the services at church. A memorial fund is being established.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Care Partners for their wonderful care of Mom these past years and also to Affinity Hospice, especially Rachel.
