- Goebel, Eugene R.Eugene R. Goebel, 69, of N 9772 Hwy W in Johnsburg died Tuesday, August 1 7, 2004 at his residence. Gene was born August 24, 1934, a son of Anton a nd Odella Engel Goebel. On December 27, 1955 he married Mary Ann Herman ns at St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Peter. Gene worked for CD Smi th as a cement finisher for many years as a member in the Local 1026. Ge ne and Mary Ann also ran Mary Ann's Place in Johnsburg from 1967-1974.He was a member of St. John the Baptist Parish in Johnsburg, St. John's Ho ly Name Society, and Pipe Senior Citizens. He enjoyed gardening, growing f lowers, putting up his Christmas decorations, and especially spending ti me with his grandchildren.Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, Johnsburg; three sons: Mark (Kerr i) Goebel, Little Chute; Doug (Jan) Goebel, New Holstein; BJ (Jodie) Goebe l, Johnsburg; two daughters: Katie (Ken) Andrew, Johnsburg; Sheila (Crai g) Lefeber, Johnsburg; 13 grandchildren: Shaun and Jill Andrew, Joshua Cas per, Stephanie Goebel, Chelsea and Ryan Goebel, Tyler, Becki, and Kollin L efeber, Mitchell, Erin, Joey, and Paige Goebel; five sisters: Bernadette ( Jerry) Blatz, Lorraine Flood, Sis (Tom) Scannell, Pat (special friend Bo b) Dietzen, Alice Braatz, three brothers; John "Bud" (Shirley) Goebel, To ny (Joyce) Goebel, Jim (MaryAnn) Goebel; two brother-in-laws: Rev. Mel Her manns, Peter (Rosie) Hermanns; a sister-in-law, Faye Hermanns, and many ni eces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson, Zachary Goebel; a sis ter, Marge Johanski; four brother-in-laws: Ed Braatz, Herbie Dietzen, T om Flood, Frank Hermanns, and his mother and father-in-law: Herman and Al ma Hermanns.Visitation for Mr. Goebel will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2004 from 3 -8 P.M. at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and again on Friday, August 20, 2004 f rom 9:00 A.M. until the time of services at the funeral home. Funeral serv ices will held on Friday, August 20, 2004 at 9:45 A.M. at Uecker-Witt Fune ral Home and at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in John sburg with the Rev. Mel Hermanns, his brother-in-law, and Rev. Joseph Coer ber officiating.
