- Dorothy A. (Mader) Babcock, 8 1, of 224 Park St., Marinette, passed away Monday evening, July 4, 200 5, at her home. She was born September 6, 1923, in Appleton, WI, to the la te Gilbert and Esther (Williams) Mader, spending her early years there. S he was a 1941 graduate of Appleton High School and a 1945 graduate of t he University of Wisconsin-Madison. She had resided in Marinette since acc epting a teaching position here in 1945, marrying Harry L. Babcock in 1948 .Dorothy is survived by her children and grandchildren: Arthur (Deborah) Ba bcock and their children: Elisabeth, Esther (Scott), Rebekah (Eric), Rut h, David, Daniel, Anna, Andrew, Mary, Majesty, Stephen and Seth, Richard B abcock and significant others, Mary, Vika and Nastya, Barbara (David) Niel sen and their children: Matt, Amanda and Tyler; Susan (Jeffrey) LaFortu ne and their children: Kristin and Rochelle, and Sandra (Jay) Walters, a nd their children: Erin, Adam and Michael. She is further survived by t wo brothers: Charles (Norma) Mader of Oshkosh and Marvin (Peggy) Mad er of Pewaukee.Friends may call at First United Methodist Church, Marinette, after 10 a. m. on Thursday, July 7, 2005. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on T hursday afternoon in the church with the Rev. Susan Holley officiating. Bu rial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
