- Dougherty, Audrey "Pete"Audrey "Pete" Dougherty, age 69, fought a courageous battle with diabet es for 49 years and on Friday, November 4, passed away peacefully at hom e. She was born June 28, 1936, in Appleton to Fred and Gertrude (Siebenhun er) Peters and was a life long resident here. She loved animals and took g ood care of her cat, Ollie and her guinea pig, Weewee. She enjoyed taki ng rides in the car and liked to ride down College Avenue in Appleton to s ee what was new. She was a good cook and an especially devoted mother to h er son, Jimmy.She is survived by her husband, James; her son, James Peterson of Appleto n; two step-sons, Michael (Erin) Dougherty, Appleton and Thomas (Cathy) Do ugherty, Appleton; two daughters, Dyan Bichel, Greenville and Kathy Sonkow sky, Appleton; two grandchildren, Joey Bichel, Appleton and Sara Bichel, H ortonville; four step-grandchildren, Patrick and Parker Dougherty and Eliz abeth and Michael Pritzl; three great-grandchildren, Jessi and Dakota Bich el and Drew Holm; one brother, Fritz Peters.She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Ermagard, Margar et and Lillian and one step-daughter, Cindy Pritzl.A visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, from 12 p.m. to 1 p. m. at United Church of Christ in Dale, Wis. with a memorial service at 1 p .m., Pastor Virgie Davis Officiating.A memorial fund will be set up at the family's request.
