- Hewitt, Ard is I. ; Dale, Wisconsin Formerly of WaupacaArdis Ione Hewitt, our mother, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Septem ber 12, 2006, after a year long battle with cancer. She was born on Ju ly 4, 1924, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late William a nd Myrtle (Sebstead) Meyer. Ardis married Frank Servin on June 3, 194 4, in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on August 11, 1967. Ardis liv ed in Waupaca for most of her married life. On October 10, 1975, Ardis mar ried Arthur Hewitt. He also preceded her in death. Ardis was employed at Z wicker Knitting Mill, and was the owner of Servin's Supper Club in Waupac a. She later worked at Park Falls Hospital and finally was employed and re tired from the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King.Ardis enjoyed working in her garden and sewing, as well as breeding and ta king care of her dogs. She also loved cooking and being able to teach wh at she knew to her children and grandchildren. Ardis also enjoyed providi ng foster care to many. Ardis was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmot her and great-grandmother and enjoyed being with her family every minute t hat she had free. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, and kn ew what a wonderful woman she was.Ardis is survived by three daughters: Sandra (Tom) Anderson, Appleton; Jul ianne (Jim) Kicherer, Fremont; Vicki Servin, Green Bay; a son, Randa ll F. (Carol) Servin, Greenville; 15 grandchildren: Marne (Tom) Dudley, Sh elley (Kirk) Olson, Sarah Anderson, Carey (Eric) Sorenson, Brent (Paula) S ervin, Nichole (Eddie) Pruett, Randi (Andy) Ullrich, Lisa (Kevin) Collin s, Jason (Gayla) Kicherer, J.J., Kevin and Kelly Kicherer, Chelsea, Linds ey and Spencer Servin, 22 great-grandchildren, also step-grandchildren, st ep-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many speci al friends. Ardis was preceded in death by a brother, Gerhardt Meyer.A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at 11 a. m. at Faith Community United Methodist Church, N1966 Julius Dr., Greenvill e. Rev. Thomas Lambrecht will officiate. Inurnment will take place in S t. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.
