- Margaret Mader, 94, Appleton, died Monday, November 6, 2006, at Franciscan Care Center. She was born September 18, 1912, in Wild Rose, daughter of Ed and Anna (Strehlow) Williams. Margaret married Grant W. Mader, October 1, 1930, in Appleton and he preceded her in death February 26, 1989. She was employed at Zwicker's Knitting Mill for 24 years. Margaret was a member of Riverview Lutheran Church, Appleton. Mrs. Mader is survived by her children: Aloha Maxwell, Appleton and Bonnie (Russell) Smith, New London; four grandchildren: Steve Maxwell, Madison; Dawn Maxwell, Hartford; Wendy (Francois) Lacombe, Mexico City and Cory (Jennifer) Smith, Fort Hood Texas; five great grandchildren: Caitlin and Grant W. Smith, Pablo, Luc and Mela Lacombe; a sister-in-law, Betty Williams, Neenah; favorite nieces and nephews; special friends: Joan Malloy and Elsie Schneider. Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harold Williams; a sister, Emma (Allen) Nelson and a son-in-law, Lee Maxwell. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2006, at Riverview Lutheran Church, 136 W. Seymour Street, Appleton, with Rev. Dennis Belter officiating. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. A memorial has been established. The family wishes to express a special thank you the staffs and friends at Franciscan Care Center and Touchmark for their love and care for Margaret.
