- RACINE - Robert L. Rawley, age 77, passed away early Sunday morning September 23, 2007 at his residence. Robert was born in Racine, August 4, 1930, son of the late Jesse and Louise (Nee: Braidwood) Rawley. On October 5, 1974 in Racine he was united in marriage to Eva A. Chiappetta. He was employed by Webster Electric for forty-three years, retiring in 1992. Robert was a member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and the Kenosha Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting in his younger years. Above all he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Survivors include his wife, Eva; his three sons, Scott (Leila) Rawley of Kenosha, Tod Rawley of Johnson Creek, James Rawley of Racine; his stepson, John (Sarah) Grycowski of Racine; his grandchildren, Louis and Elizabeth Rawley, Alexander and Amy Grycowski; two brothers, Richard (Sharon) Rawley, William (Pat) Rawley, all of Racine; his sister, Betty (Al) Jones of Mondovi; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Albert Chiappetta, Arthur (Mary) Chiappetta, Rose (Walter) Steidl, all of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Pauline Rawley and Fay (Bob) Hush; and two brothers, George and Donald Rawley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, Wednesday, September 26, 2007, 11 a.m. with Rev. John D. Aiello officiating assisted by Deacon Russell Missureli. Entombment will follow at Calvary Garden Crypts. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass.
