- Helen G. Ryan, Menasha, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2007. Helen was born March 20, 1919, in Menasha, the daughter of the late Alvin and Margaret (Landig) Christensen. She married Thomas Ryan, Sr., who preceded her in death on October 14, 1980. Helen was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, the Menasha Senior Center where she was on the board, she had been involved with the Girl Scouts and the Cub Scouts.
Helen is survived by her children: Margaret Liginski, Waterford; Kathleen (Richard) Gill, Neenah; Thomas (Connie) Ryan, Jr., Neenah; eight grandchildren: Robert (Cathy) Liginski, Jr., Thomas (Jennifer) Liginski, Diane (Dave) Broz, Theresa (Mark) Bemowski, Colleen (Rick) Burdick, John (Jessi) Ryan, Rebecca (Jason) Wicks and Amanda Ryan. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren: Michael Duffin, Nicole Broz, Hannah Liginski, Kylee Liginski, Robert Liginski III, Brittany Burdick, Caily Burdick, Cole Burdick and Emily Bemowski, several nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by a grandchild Mary Theresa Liginski, a sister Delores Krause and a son in law Robert Liginski, Sr.
Funeral services for Helen will be held on Friday, April 27, 2007, 11:30 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, with Father Richard Allen officiating. Friends and family will be received at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the hour of mass. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
