- Ronald S. Rog, Omro, age 64, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton following a short illness. Ronald was born on June 25, 1942, in Chicago, IL, son of the late Stephen and Gertrude Rog. On October 17, 1981, Ron married Barbara Sasman in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death in 1999. Ron was a resident of the New London area since 1980. He had formerly worked at Wolf River Lumber until his retirement.
He is survived by six daughters: Kim (Dave) Finger, New London; Sonia (Michael) Bennett, New London; Tina Sasman (Brenda Jennerjohn), New London; Wendy (Glenn) Swinton, New London; Rhonda (Tim) Gray, Oshkosh; Bridget Sasman (Adam Rowan), Oshkosh; a son Rich Sasman, Oshkosh; a sister, Christine (John) Vesely, Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Mark, Eric, Jared, Gary, Tara, Ryan, Byron, Hunter, Autumn, Trevor, Colten, Deanna and Megan; a great-grandchild Tanner; nephews: Eddie (Jennifer), Matt (Lisa) and Andy Synek; all of Chicago, IL; and great nephews: Little Eddie, Joey and Owen.
Besides his parents and wife, Ron was preceded in death by a brother Charles Rog.
Graveside Services will be held for Ron on Friday, April 6, 2007, at 10 a.m. at Royalton Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
