- Jacob S. Alswager, age 22, of Minneapolis, MN, formerly of Fremont, died unexpectedly on Sunday, September 2, 2007, in Minneapolis. He was born on March 11, 1985, in New London, WI, the son of Joel Alswager and Karen (Jeff) Looker. Jacob was a graduate of Weyauwega-Fremont High School and a graduate of The Ocean Corporation in Houston, TX, with a degree in NDT Weld Inspecting. He was currently employed at Stork Twin City Testing Corporation in St. Paul, MN. He enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking and outdoor activities.
Jacob is survived by his mother and step-father, Karen and Jeff Looker, Fremont, a brother, Charlie Alswager, two step-brothers, Taylor Looker and Michael Alswager, a step-sister, Leah, maternal grandmother, Kay Stalker, New London, paternal grandmother, Joan (Herman) Reckert, Fremont, step-grandmother, Claudette Looker, Fremont, his fiance, Dana Hahn, Minneapolis, MN, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joel, a sister, Samantha, maternal grandfather, Bruce Stalker, paternal grandfather, Glen Alswager, and his step-grandfather, John "Casey" Looker.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont. Father Paul Fieder will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery in Fremont. Friends may call at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont, on Friday, from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
