Jean M. Bloedorn, 57, of Shiocton, passed away early Thursday morning, August 3, 2006, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 12, 1948, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Alvin and Alice (Griebel) Carpenter. On April 9, 1983, she was united in marriage to William Bloedorn. Jean was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and getting ready for her favorite holiday, Christmas. She was excited about the upcoming birth of a new grandchild. Jean was a member of the Seymour United Methodist Church and the Seymour American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her children: Tanya (Jay) Puls, Shiocton; David Nelson, Fond du Lac; a grandchild, Paige; three brothers: Billy Jack Carpenter, Alaska; Keith (Kay) Carpenter; Shiocton; Norman (Bea) Kurtz, Florida; her sister, Raylene (Bill) Bartel, West Bend; mother-in-law, Dolly Bloedorn, Seymour; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Robert Bloedorn, Bonduel; Ricky (Wendy) Bloedorn, Seymour; Gary (Beth) Bloedorn, Shiocton; Terry (Marcia) Bloedorn, Seymour; Daniel (Traci) Bloedorn, Black Creek; Joan (Roger) Valley, Mountain; Bonnie (Tom) Wagner, Black Creek; Mary (Tim) Collar; Shiocton; Julie Bloedorn, Seymour; Vicky Bloedorn, Nichols; many nieces and nephews; her special friends, Barb Hillsberg, Navarino; Jean and Jane Gertz, Big Bay, Michigan; Macy, her cat; Eby, her dog; and Jax, her granddog.
She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Todd Bloedorn; and sister, Judy Carpenter.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, 358 S. Main St., Seymour, on Sunday, August 6, 2006, from 5 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday, August 7, 2006, at the Seymour United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until services at 11 p.m. Burial will be in the Cicero United Methodist Cemetery.
