- Dorothy A. Kleeman, age 73, of Neenah, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2013, after bravely fighting cancer. Dorothy was born May 16, 1940, to the late Walter and Bertha Smith. After a brief teaching career in Weyauwega, she married Curtis Kleeman. They moved to Neenah where she had a long career teaching Spanish. She loved being up north at her cottage, watching the loons and taking walks in the woods with her dogs. She was happiest spending time with her family, friends, and neighbors.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Diane) Kleeman; granddaughter, Michelle (Curtis) Barr; and great-granddaughters: Abigail and Sarah Barr. She is also survived by her sisters: Betty Dehmlow and Joan (Nate) Kronstedt; brother, Jim Smith, and many other wonderful family members. She has been loved and encouraged by many beloved friends and neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Kleeman; and a brother-in-law: Kenneth Dehmlow.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2013, at Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Pastor Jim Schmitz officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be Saturday at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Immanuel United Church of Christ, Neenah.
This loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend will be missed but will always be close in our hearts.
