- Loretta L. Williamson, age 85, of Menasha, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, April 3, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born on September 6, 1922, in New London, daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Peterson) Longrie. Loretta married Warren J. Williamson on May 20, 1946, in Milwaukee; he preceded her in death on March 30, 2007.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Menasha. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Loretta was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who dedicated her life to her family.
She will be missed by her daughters: Tracey (Robert) Stoffregen, Lynn (Mike) Howe, Mary (Bruce) Karnopp, Lori Meyer; nine grandchildren: Nick, Jake, Danielle, Michael, Carrie, Jill, Lindsey, Ethan, Kayla; five great-grandchildren: Kylie, Erik, Madison, Alexis, and Morgan; and a sister, Francis Dexter.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Williamson, a grandson Erik, and nine brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, April 8, 2008, at Martens-Laemmrich Funeral Home, 312 Milwaukee Street, Menasha, with Sr. Mary Arnoldussen officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Appleton. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
Loretta's family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff on the Sub-Acute Unit at St. Elizabeth for their care.
