  Steven R. Luedtke, 56, Menasha, passed on to his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 18, 2007, at Franciscan Care Center following a lengthy struggle with cancer. Steve was born January 3, 1951, in Appleton, the son of Dorothy Boriin and the late Kenneth Luedtke. Steve graduated from Appleton West High School with the class of 1969. After high school he worked in Alaska and Appleton until his illness forced him to retire. He enjoyed the outdoors; hunting and spending time at friends cottages. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy (Ralph) Boriin; brothers: Tom Luedtke and Jim (Patricia) Luedtke; sister, Lynn Osman (Todd Simoens); nieces and a nephew: Ami (Colin) Gayton, Michelle, Allison and Carolyn Luedtke, Ashley and Cullen Osman; and a great-nephew Devon Gayton. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Franciscan Care Center and Ministries of Home Hospice for their loving care of Steve. A special thank you to his nurse Kristen and home care givers, Kris and Kelsey. According to Steve's wishes a private family service will be held at a later date.
