- Laverne L. Brugger, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 19, 2008. He was born June 5, 1944, son of the late A. Laurence and Eileen (Keenan) Brugger. On April 7, 1984, he was united in marriage to Debbie Sikma in Oconto.
Laverne was an Air Force Veteran and a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Black Creek. He worked 22 years at WLUK T.V., Plexus and retired from Kraft Foods. He enjoyed time spent on his computer and riding his Harley. He was a history buff but most important was his family.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie; children: Laura, Black Creek; Sharon (Fiance Jude), Madison; Michael, Black Creek; sisters: Kathy (Fred) Schroeder, Black Creek; Lynn (Bill) Hall, Florida; Amy (Fred) Peters, Seymour; a brother, Brian (Pat) Brugger, Florida.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Neal, Jim and Burt.
Friends may call at the Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 22, 2008, and Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Black Creek, from 10 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Steve Schlicht officiating. Military rites to follow service. Burial in Black Creek cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
