- Theodore "Ted" Edward Gillick, Jr., age 53, of Little Chute, died Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Colony Oaks Care Center in Appleton. He was born January 18, 1955 in Oshkosh to the late Theodore, Sr. and Elsie (Bertram) Gillick. Ted was a 1973 graduate of Winneconne High School. On April 29, 1977 he married Julie Melanson at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Kimberly. For 30 years Ted owned and operated Fortune Talent, Inc. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, spending time with his girls and his family, DJing on the weekends, playing cards, and going to the casino. Ted was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute.
Ted is survived by his wife of 31 years, Julie Gillick, of Little Chute; two daughters, Ashley Gillick (special friend, Nick), Lindsey Gillick (special friend, Chris), all of Little Chute; sisters and brothers, Donna (Mike) Wicinsky, of Winneconne; Joe Gillick, of Oshkosh; Joyce (Darv) Koneman, of Winneconne; Sue (Tom) Adams, of Clintonville; Patti (Tom) Otto, of Larsen; Tim Gillick, of Winneconne; Debbie (Mike) Jacob, of Winneconne; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Along with his parents, Ted was also preceded in death by his step-father, Arden Christensen; a brother-in-law, Paul Materna; and his grandparents.
A Funeral Service for Ted will be held on Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 4 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, with Sr. Pam Biehl officiating. Burial will be on Monday, November 3 in the Winneconne Cemetery. A Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
Ted's family would like to thank Dr. Jessica Johnston, and special thanks to the ThedaCare at Home Hospice personnel who took such great care of him.
