- Theodorus (Ted) C. Kelder, 80, Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, Jan. 9, 2009. He was born in Dongen, North Brabant, the Netherlands on Oct. 18, 1928, the son of the late Johanas and Marie Kelder. He was united in marriage July 17, 1965, to Shirley (Remter) Misco. Ted retired from Kimtech in the early 1990s, and now enjoyed helping Shirley with her daycare children. The tradition of Grandpa K bringing the lemon poppyseed cake for the children once a week is now over.
Ted is survived by Shirley Misco-Kelder; two sons, Randall Misco and his daughter Amanda, Jacksonville, FL; and Frankie Kelder (fiancee Lea Skotzke) and children Lea, Casey and Tiffany, Appleton; three daughters, Patricia Misco and her son Ian, Carol Walczak (special friend, Tony Coleman) and her children Robert, Michael and Benjamin, and Robin (Roger) Gustafson and her son Chad, Appleton; and great-grandson, Dominic Ruwoldt. He is further survived by foster daughter, Debbie Jacobs, and daughter, Jessie, Appleton; five sisters, Jo (Kase), Reit, Deny, Jeanne and Leny all of the Netherlands; brother-in-law, Jerry (Mary) Lemmens, Phoenix, AZ; sister-in-law, Doris (Louis) Flauger, Gresham, WI, and good friend, Helen Adair; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Franciscus Kelder; brothers-in-law, Peit, Ad and Gehart; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vernal (Audrey) Remter, Lloyd Remter and Lester Remter, Appleton.
A Funeral Mass for Ted will be held at 10:30 a.m, Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Appleton, with Rev. Larry Abler officiating. A visitation for Ted will be held from 9 a.m until the time of service on Wednesday at the church.

The most comforting thing to know about this life is that it will continue with the Lord. We miss you, Dad & Grandpa!
