- Josephine M. Pink, 92, Appleton, passed away in her sleep Friday, March 6, 2009, at Rennes Health Care Center. She was born December 2, 1916, to the late John W. and Margarethe (Birnbach) Krosse. Josephine worked as a salesperson at Stewart Shoes in the Zuelke Building for many years and also as a switchboard operator in Milwaukee. She married the late Reynold B. Pink on October 27, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1996.
Josephine is survived by her children, Sandy (Bruce) Witter, Centreville, VA; Robert (Cathy) Pink, Appleton and Richard Pink, Cary, NC; grandchildren, Richard (Kelly) Witter, Joseph (Eve) Witter, Brian (Laura) Pink, Stacy (Dino) Valeri, Eric (Kate) Pink and Ryan Pink, great-grandchildren: Gage and Lexi Valeri, Riley and Taylor Pink, Clare, Christina and Catherine Witter. "Mom, we will truly miss you".
Her parents; husband; one sister; one half-sister; daughter-in-law, Linda Pink; two brothers and three half-brothers have preceded Josephine in death.
Funeral services for Josephine will be held at 11:30 am Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Appleton with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Milwaukee. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass Tuesday morning at church. Jo's family would like to express a special Thank You to the staff of Rennes Health Care Center for the compassion and care given to their mother.
