Lee (Junior) G. Bucholtz, Jr., age 50, of Fremont, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Appleton Medical Center, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on January 22, 1959, in Waupaca, WI, the son of the late Leonel and Joraine (Winters) Bucholtz. On July 25, 1998, Lee married Tammy (Thorne) Bucholtz in Fremont. He was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Lee was employed by the Neenah Foundry for 30 years and was a member of Union Local 121. He enjoyed hunting, car shows, gardening and making people laugh with his special sense of humor.
Lee is survived by his wife, Tammy, a stepdaughter, Danielle Bucholtz, three sisters: Pamela Schultz, Weyauwega, Deborah (Kim) Haase, Weston, WI, and Jane (Kent) Wiedenhoeft, Delevan, WI, his mother-in-law, Jeanette Thorne, Weyauwega, his father-in-law, Louis Thorne, AZ, a sister-in-law, Debbie (Pat) Thorne, Manawa, his paternal grandmother, Belva Bucholtz, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Lee was preceded in death by a sister, Jenny Malouf, maternal grandparents, Herbert and Laura Winters and paternal grandparents, Melvin and Louise Birmingham and Martin Bucholtz.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2009, at 11 a.m. at St. Peters; Lutheran Church in Weyauwega. Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke will officiate. Burial will be in Lind Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for St. Peter's Lutheran Church Building on the Rock.
