- John H. Jaeger, age 75 of Bear Creek, WI passed away peacefully at his home on August 14, 2012 with family at his side.
John was born on June 5, 1937 in Clintonville as the son of the late Clarence and Ottelia (Pankautz) Jaeger. As a young man he served his country in the United States Army from October of 1958 until he was discharged in February of 1962. John was united in marriage to Helen Lehman on May 12, 1962 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bear Creek.. The married couple resided in Clintonville for 6 years before they moved to Bear Creek where they have lived since. John was employed for a short time at FWD Seagrave in Clintonville before taking a job with Neenah Foundry where he worked for 38 years retiring in 1999. John was also a past member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. To say John was an outdoorsman is an understatement. His love for hunting and fishing had no bounds especially when he could share it with his family. They will always remember him sitting in his boat on the Pigeon Pond. John also dabbled in taxidermy, enjoyed woodworking, traveling "Up North" to Lily River Lodge, and was an avid Green Bay Packer Fan.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two daughters, Carrie (Don) Wilken, Clintonville; Jean (fiance, Ryan Reedy) Jaeger, Clintonville; two sons, Doug (fiancee, Mary Jo Thurk) Jaeger, Bear Creek; Jeremy (fiancee, Shannon Elertson) Jaeger, Sugar Bush; seven grandchildren, Heather (Dean) Schroeder, Clintonville; Ben (Chris) Aderman, Clintonville; Laurel (Kevin) Grunewald, Clintonville; Nathaniel Acevedo, Oshkosh; and Jordan, Bethany, and Landon Jaeger, Sugar Bush; three great-grandchildren, John and Joel Acevedo and Hailey Tank; two sisters, Betty Ripinski, Crandon; and Eleanore Rahmlow, Appleton. Also many other relatives and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, John Acevedo; and a brother, Clarence Jaeger, Jr.
Per John's wishes no funeral services will be held. Inurnment will take place at a later date at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Bear Creek.
