- James L. Kuchelmeister, Jamestown, N.C., passed away peacefully after a nine month battle with lung cancer. He was born March 7, 1936, and went to his enternal reward on March 15, 2009. He was the son of the late William and Jeannette (Spaulding) Kuchelmeister of Kaukauna. He graduated from Kaukauna High School Class of '54. James married Joey Jaeckels on October 8th of 1956 in Reedsville.
Joey survives along with their six children: Kim (Don) Smith, Wentzville, MO; Tammy (Gene) Cox, Isanti, MN; Dawn (Tim) Borgstahl, Rosemount, MN; Jim Jr. (Lori), Shakopee, MN; Kristi (Pete) Beeler, Greensboro, NC; Kelli (Garrison) Coley, Greensboro, NC; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Vicki Kuchelmeister, Karla Wolfinger, Kaukauna; Lei (Jim) Otte, Weyauwega; brothers: Todd (Juliette), Appleton; Scott (Sue), Kaukauna; sister-in-law, Helen (Jerry) Kitzmiller, Appleton; brother-in-law, Jack (Julie) Jaeckels, Dallas, TX; and an aunt, Delores (Carl) Kuchelmeister, Appleton. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held in Greensboro, NC, on March 29th at St. Benedict Catholic Church with a memorial service in Burnsville, MN, on April 4th.
