- Miles Paul Zastrow, 60, Forestville, passed away at his home on Dec. 5, 2010. He was born on Oct. 24, 1950, in Oconto County, to Theodore and Angeline (Fischer) Zastrow. Miles received his B.S. degree in education from U.W. Stout.
On May 26, 1973, he married Barbara Jaeger in Gillett.
Miles taught at Sturgeon Bay middle and high schools for 34 years.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; two children, Julie (Matthew) Schelk, Fond du Lac; Ben (Veronica) Zastrow, Luxemburg; two grandchildren, Abigail Schelk and Emma Zastrow; his parents, Theodore and Angeline Zastrow, Gillett; one brother, Stanley Zastrow, Rhinelander; two sisters, Joyce Johnson, Burke, Va.; Carol (Edward) Stanek, Gillett; parents-in-law, Clarence (Dorothea) Jaeger, Oconto Falls; two brothers-in-law, James Jaeger, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Thomas Jaeger, Gillett; aunts, uncles, cousins, and several nieces and nephews. Miles was preceded in death by an infant sister; and one brother-in-law, Lt. Col. Dennis M. Johnson.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Forestville, with the Rev. David Luhrs officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Forbes Funeral Home in Sturgeon Bay and after 10 a.m. at the church on Saturday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
