- Van Schindel, FlorenceFlorence Van Schindel, 83, died peacefully Friday, May 20, 2005, at Cher ry Meadows Hospice. She was born February 25, 1922, in Wrightstown, daught er of Herman and Catherine (Verbeten) Klister. Florence married Clarence V an Schindel, September 17, 1942, in Wrightstown and he preceded her in dea th October 15, 2001. Clarence and Florence celebrated their golden weddi ng anniversary in 1992. They were lifelong farmers in the Town of Freed om and together they enjoyed traveling and going to local polka dances. S he was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and t he Christian Mothers Society. She was also a member of the Country Bumpki ns Homemakers Club. Florence enjoyed playing cards, doing word search puzz les, dressing up for family Halloween parties, Lawrence Welk, Dan O'Donne ll and going up north.Mrs. Van Schindel is survived by her daughters: Shyla (James) Smith, Pat ( Steve) Konkle and Bonnie (Gary) Vander Loop, all of Freedom and Jackie (Al an) Mazna, Denmark; her grandchildren: Randy (Connie) Smith, Mike Smith, D ave (Gretchen) Smith, Shelly (Aaron) Eisen, Brett Konkle and fiancee, Jac ci Schumaker, Gina (Rob) Schwanke, Gary (Nikki) Van Schindel, Kyle, Trav is and Tammy Vander Loop, Amanda and Benjamin Wyngaard; her great grandchi ldren: Jerrett and Jameson Smith, Tyler, Trevor and Katie Smith, Holly a nd Hope Smith, Reid and Heath Eisen, Kamden, Kade and Kalia Van Schinde l; her sisters: Mary Jane Hendricks, Rosemary Smith, Kathleen (Robert) Ost renga, Carol (Carl) Newhouse and Shirley (Ronnie) Stier; a brother-in-la w, Hank (Jean) Hendricks and a sister-in-law, Grayce (Carl) De Bruin.Florence was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Gary; a daughte r, Angie; a sister, Agnes Hendricks; a brother, Clifford "Jim" Kliste r; 3 brothers-in-law: Leo Hendricks, Rick Smith and Ves Van Dyke; sisters- in-law: Alice (Ben) Viaene, Teresa Van Schindel and Rosalia (Francis "Red ") Vondracek.Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at St. J ohn Nepomucene Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Beno officiating. Interme nt will be in St. John Cemetery.
