- Audrey M. Fuchs, of Neenah, age 82, was called to eternal rest Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Island Shores. She was born January 1, 1932 in Menasha, WI, to the late Earl & Amelia (Bauer) Sauter. Audrey attended St. Mary High School.
She married Joe Fuchs on February 23, 1952 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Menasha. Audrey would spend the years to come as a loving wife and devoted mother to her children Dave, Sharon, and Karen. She had a personality that was unmatchable, with a quick wit and sense of humor that could brighten anyone's day. Audrey loved spending time with her family, traveling with her husband, baking for her grandchildren, playing bingo, going to Packer games, watching the Badgers & Brewers, playing cards, and showing support for anything her children and grandchildren did. She holds the world record for number of soccer games attended as a grandparent. Audrey's memory will live on through her kindness, unconditional love, selflessness, compassion, and generosity.
Audrey will be deeply missed by her daughter Karen Beyer; son-in-law Jim Beyer; daughter-in-law Maryanne Fuchs; 8 grandchildren, Kevin (Tara), Maureen, and Jack Beyer; Heather, Gretchen (fiancé Brad Maska), and Steven Fuchs; and Jessica (John) Fowler and Paul (Cheryl) Fender; 7 great-grandchildren, Ethan, River, Willow, David, Arabella, Wyatt, and Annemarie; brother-in-law Don (Enid) Fuchs; 3 sisters-in-law, Bonnie Fuchs, Phyllis Fuchs, and Fran Sauter; and many nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by Joseph, her loving husband of 58 years; son David, daughter Sharon, infant son Billy, and infant daughter Lori; sisters Jerry (Len) Schneider and Dorothy (Jack) McCullough, and brother Tom Sauter.
The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 439 Washington Ave, Neenah, with The Rev. Michael Ingold officiating.
