- Lillian E. Noe, 98, of Fond du Lac, died Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 6, 1913, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Frank and Mary Menner Buettner.
Lillian was a 1931 graduate of Fond du Lac Senior High School.
On Aug. 13, 1938, she married John J. Noe at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mount Calvary, with John's brother, Fr. Marius Noe presiding.
John preceded her in death on Oct. 12, 2011.
Lillian worked for Infant Socks, JC Penny, waitressed at The Lion's Café, and was a cook at Woodworth Jr. High School until her retirement.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, where she participated in perpetual adoration for 25 years, and was a charter member. Lillian was also a member of the Christian Women's Society, the Daughters of Isabella, the St. Francis Home Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with her family, but most of all she cherished her two grandchildren.
SURVIVORS: two sons, Tom Noe, Eugene, OR, and Paul (Judy) Noe, Fond du Lac; her two grandchildren, Taylor and Elise Noe; many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John; one sister, Dorothy Kostuch; one brother, Richard (Ann) Buettner; one nephew, Dan Peterson.
VISITATION: will be from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish.
SERVICES: The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, March 30, at Sacred Heart Church, Holy Family Parish.
Cremation has taken place. Inurnment will take place at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum, Calvary Cemetery.
