F. & E. at which times members of (same) who servered in World's War were presented with a silver medal from th eGrand Lodge with the following inscription on it"Presented to Grand Lodge to Members, In Grateful Recognition of a Duty Well and Cheerfully performed". The members of the organization who served their country attended the banquet in uniform representing the branch of service he was in. The following young men from Kaukauna : Walton Cooper, C. J.   Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilpolt of Kaukauna were listening to a National Broadcasting radio program Tuesday evening during which $1,000 is given away each week by telephone. When the time came for the awarding the money, Mrs. Wilpolt remarked that "anyone in the United States can win." Just then the telephone rang and she answered it. The voice on the other end was from New York and from the radio program and was informed that they had won $2,800 and the money would be sent to the western union office in Appleton.   Henry Wilpolt retired after 51 years with the C. & N. W. Railroad. Wilpolt came to Kaukauna with his parents when he was a young boy. His father died when he was twelve and at thirteen, to support his mother and four younger brothers and sisters, he started work at the Combined Locks Pulp mill. There were two shifts 10-hour days and 14-hour nights. The wages were 50c a day for either shift. After five years of mill work Henry decided to work for the railroad. He started in 1908 at 20c per hour.

  1958 Kaukauna Times Friday, June 6, 1958; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wilpolt, 3 10 W. Fourth street returned home recently after spending a vacation in Co lorado. They traveled over the Royal Gorge bridge, which is 1,053 feet ab ove the Arkansas river in Colorado. Their train stopped for ten minut es to allow the passengers to view the scene from the highest bridge abo ve water. At Grand Junction they visited with their son, Ralph Wilpolt a nd his family. At Denver, they spent some time with Mrs. Rose Appleton Ha en. The Wilpolts traveled through scenic Muffet Tunnel on their way home.

  See Image Henry J. Wilpolt, St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, Formerly of Kaukauna, aged 8 4, passed away Saturday afternoon following a brief illness. He was born M ay 7, 1887 in Marinette and lived in Hollandtown for a short time and h ad been a Kaukauna resident for about 60 years. Mr. Wilpolt had lived in K imberly and Manitowoc the past few years. He completed 50 years of servi ce with the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad and was a lifetime honoray m ember of the Brotherhood Locomotive Engineers, a life member of the Kaukau na Elks Lodge No. 962, the Catholic Order of Foresters, and the Kimberly G olden Age Club. Survivors are his wife Dora; two daughters, Mrs. Norbert ( Adele) Noie, Kaukauna and Mrs. Konrad (Dorothy) Tuchscherer, Neenah; a s on Ralph, Sydney Australia; a brother Green Bay; a sister, Mrs. Edward (An n) Bay, Kaukauna, 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Funeral servi ces will be held Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukau na with internment in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Lochman officiated Tuesday morning in Holy Cross Church, the n uptial service which united in the holy bonds of matrimony Miss Dora Gildr enicht, daughter of Mr. & Mrs Gildrenicht of the north side, and Henry Wil polt, son of Mrs. Sarah Wilpolt of the south side. Miss Mary Gildernich t, sister of the bride was bridesmaid and Wm. O'Connell, cousin of the gro om was best man. The bride was gowned in a dress of cream colored French s erge, wore a veil and carried a bouquet of bridal roses and a white pray er book. The bridesmaid was attired in a dress of wjite embroidery wi th a picture hat and carried a bouquet of carnations. After the ceremo ny a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's parents on Wi sconsin Ave, to a few relatives. The bride formerly lived in Freedom> S he is a young lady of ability and is popular with friends. She work ed as a millner in her sister's store in Wrightstown. The groom is an ente rprising and industious young man and is employed as a fireman on t he C. & N.W. Ry. Mr. & Mrs. Wilpolt have the very best wishes of their fri ends. They left for a honeymoon trip to Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and A berdeen, So. Dakota, where they will visit with Wm. J. Mickie, a relati ve of the groom. On their return, Mr. & Mrs. Wilpolt will make their ho me on the south side where they will be at home to their friends after Ju ne 20.
