  The funeral of George Schmitt, 82, who died at his home here on Friday, following a week's illnes, was held at 2 p. m. Sunday from the Zlon Lutheran Church with burial in the New Holsteln city cemetery. The Rev. Carl Ramthun officiated. Mr. Schmitt was born In Ashford, Washington county, September 12, 1850 and moved to Morrison, Brown county at the age of 18. He married Miss Mary Meyer of Wrlghtstown, January 29, 1874 and the couple lived on the Schmitt homestead until 1914 when they moved here. Survivors are the widow, two daughters, Minnie and Emma at home, five sons, George of Forest Junction, Henry and Edwin of New Holsteln, Otto of Chilton, William of Milwaukee and three sisters.
