  Landlord Nettekoven has placed a fine street lamp on the corner near the Vilas House, which makes a great improvement in that locality on dark nights. This lamp is one which has been recently invented and needs filling but once a week. When lighted it will burn for a period of ten hours when it goes out automatically. This lap was purchased at the small cost of ten dollars.
