- Kathryn J. Froelich, 89, of Oconto, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at Woodland Villages, Oconto. Kathryn was born February 15, 1926 in Oconto to the late Ernest and Ellen (Dagen) Bourassa. She married Harry Froelich on June 12, 1948. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2007. Kathryn graduated from St. Marys School of Nursing in Milwaukee in 1947. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, Oconto, St. Anne's Society and the Hospital Auxiliary.
Kathryn is survived by a daughter, Shirley (Frederick) Templin, FL; three sons, Robert (Hermine) Froelich, Germantown; John (Carol) Froelich, FL; Thomas (Julie) Froelich, Cedarburg; four sisters, Sally White, Manitowoc; LaVonne Brazeau, Oconto; Mary Slempkes, Lena; Jane (Gary) Belongia, Oconto; a sister-in-law, Fran Bourassa, Oconto; five grandchildren, Nicole, Noreen, Brad, Rick, Rob and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John "Jack" Bourassa, a sister, Dolores "Ditty"Bourassa and two brothers-in-law, Edward Slempkes and Joseph Brazeau.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Oconto, from 9:30 to 11 AM Saturday, March 7, 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday at the church with the Rev. Joel Sember officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
