- Dorothy G. Bauer, Fond du Lac, (Formerly of Kaukauna), age 92, passed away on Friday, August 8, 2014 at Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. She was born March 15, 1922 in Greenleaf, WI, daughter of the late Clark and Lillian (Baum) Phillips. On May 5, 1945 Dorothy married Tom Bauer in Philadelphia, he preceded her in death. Dorothy served in the US Coast Guard "SPARS" during WWII. She retired from Kaukauna Hospital after 25 years of service as a ward secretary. Dorothy was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church in Kaukauna.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Sue La Fond, DePere; 2 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild: Parker (Anne) Hansen, Green Bay and their children, Xavier, Vincent and Ayonna at home; Amy Schoepke, Eldorado and her children, Cody (Jamie) Schoepke, Milwaukee, Bryanna (Brandon) Bruger and their daughter, Lacey, of Bloomington, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom and a sister, Virginia Phillips.
