Married at Holy Cross Church A large congregation of friends and acquaintances assembled at Holy Cross church Tuesday morning to witness the marriage of Geo. W. Gillen and Miss Elizabeth Berendsen, both residents of this city. The bridal pair are well and favorably known in this city, the groom being proprietor of a shaving and hairdressing parlor on Wisconsin Avenue. The bride was attired in an elegant costume of blue silk and white lace. She was attended by her sister, Miss Gertrude, and a brother of the groom, John Gillen, acted as best man. A party of relatives and friends were entertained at the home of the bride's parents on the Island, during the day and evening.The presents were numerous and costly. Mr. and Mrs. Gillen left on a wedding tour, going north on the 6:15 train on the evening of the same day. On their return they will take up their residence on Wisconsin Avenue. The happy couple have the congratulations and best wishes of a large circle of friends.

Wedded at KaukaunaMiss Lizzie Berendsen and George M.[sic] Gillen Kaukauna, Wis., April 26 - The marriage of Miss Lizzie Berendsen and George W. Gillen was solemnized at the Holy Cross church yesterday morning, in the presence of a large number of friends. Both the bride and groom have lived here for a long time and are widely known. They will reside on the north side, where Mr. Gillen is engaged in business.
