- Peter Lee "Zeke" Graverson, 69, passed away unexpectedly on March 4, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital due to health complications. Peter was born in Neenah on June 1, 1947. He married Patty on June 28, 1997.
Pete worked for Valley Bakers and continued his career as an OTR driver for American Can and Schaetzel Trucking. He retired from Galloway Co. in 2005.
In his younger years, Peter loved working on his 1957 Chev gasser and drag racing at KK/WIR. He loved hunting and visiting his long-time good friends in Hiles and Cayuga, WI. Peter and his family also spent fun weekends at the family cottage in Waupaca. Peter and Patty enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. He also loved searching the internet looking for deals, collecting model trains and coins, woodworking, and watching NASCAR and classic movies. He cherished time spent teasing his grandchildren and dog.
Peter is survived by his wife Patty; his children Steve (Denise) Graverson, Jeff (Peggy) Graverson, Jenny Hietpas, and Ben Hietpas; his seven grandchildren: Mikk Graverson, Tara Graverson, Libby (Solomon) King, Ethan Graverson, Olyvia Hietpas, Ellie and Nora Hietpas; his two great-grandchildren: Maxwell King and Alayna Graverson; his siblings: Patricia (David) Brown, Thomas (Terri Jo) Graverson, Michael (Julie) Graverson, and David Graverson; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and good friends. Peter was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Elizabeth Graverson, his brother Bill Graverson, his father and mother-in-law John and Betty Conrad, and his sister-in-law Sharon Wildenberg.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Valley Funeral Home from 2:00-4:00pm with a time of remembrance held at 4:00pm.
Peter was a generous man and will continue to give by donating tissue and bones.
