- Virginia F. Laha, age 89, of Combined Locks, formerly Dunbar, WI, passed away peacefully Sunday March 12, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born in Kewanee, Illinois on October 10, 1927; daughter of the late Walenty and Josephine (Przbylowski) Zalewski. Virginia was united in marriage to Robert Laha on February 10, 1945. They moved to Dunbar in 1981. She was a member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and donated much of her time there. Virginia enjoyed spending time with her family and also looked forward to the Annual Laha Golf Outing. She will be missed.
Virginia is survived by six sons: Mike (Dar) of Menasha, Bob (Gail) of Darboy, Dave (Sue) of Appleton, Bill (Patty) of Appleton, Tim (Kathy) of Kimberly, and Ted of Kimberly; six daughters: Sandy (Ron) Fletcher of TN,
Shirley (Mike) Anderson of Appleton, Jeanette (Jim) Ringenberg of Appleton, Joyce (Joe) Neumann of Winfield, IL, Julie (Brenton) Watson of Newport Coast, CA and Mary Joe (Phyllis) Laha of Minneapolis, MN; 24 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and a brother, Daniel (Barbara) Zalewski. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; a grandson, Daniel; sister, Stella; and brother, Chester.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday March 15, 2017, at St. Margaret Catholic Church in Pembine with Father Matt Settle officiating. Family and friends may call from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass at church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Dunbar.
