- Anna A. Crowley, 79, Allouez, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001, at a local hospi tal following a lengthy illness. The daughter of the late Thomas and Colet ta (Golden) Dorsey. Anna was born May 2, 1922, in Mackville. She married T homas Crowley on Feb. 23, 1946 in San Diego. He preceded her in death on S ept. 25, 1988. After graduating from Freedom High School, Anna served h er country in the United States Navy from December 1943 to December 194 5. Anna worked for many years as a market researcher, specializing in educ ation and commerce. She was an avid golfer, a renowned seamstress and a ta lented cook.Anna is survived by her children, Kate (Peter) Lorenz, Jefferson; Margar et (Ernest Brusubardis) Crowley, Shorewood; Tim (Lynne) Crowley, Park Ridg e, Ill.; and Amy Crowley, Glenview, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Bridget a nd Tim Lorenz, Diane and Patrick Reis, Kevin and Katie Crowley and Colle en and Aiden McNichols; two sisters, Inez Schroeder, Appleton; and Irene H opfensperger, Modesto, Calif.; and one brother, Robert Dorsey, Bossier Cit y, La. Anna is preceded in death by her parents; husband; four sisters; a nd three brothers. Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Community on Pope John XXIII Ci rcle off Sportsman Dr., Town of Ledgeview, on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2001, fr om 10 a.m. until time of service. The Holy Day Mass of the Assumption wi ll be celebrated at 12 noon with a memorial service celebrating Anna's li fe immediately following with Father John H. Harper officiating.
Burial will follow in the Allouez Cemetery.
