  Thomas died on September 6, 1881 after being kicked by a horse in Morrison, Brown County, Wisconsin. He and his wife Margaret farmed the west 1/2 of the NW Quarter of Section 12, right next to the other Rices. They also came from Ireland at the same time as the other Rices as Thomas and Margaret are listed in the 1850 Census of Lennox, Madison County, New York as husband and wife with no children. Thomas is buried at St. John`s Catholic Chruch Cemetery in Morrison, Brown County, Wisconsin.
