C. Ripp, church pastor, in charge of the solemn requiem mass. Assisting Rev. Ripp were the Fathers Schaeffer and Melchoirs. Burial was in the St. Mary's cemetery.Death came suddenly Thursday morning while his wife was at church. Mr. Brill was in fairly good health with the exception of suffering from a few heart attacks, had swept off the sidewalk at his home on Fifth street, and had evidently gone into the house for a drink of water, as his body was found in the kitchen, near the sink. Heart disease was given as the cause of his demise.The deceased man was a member of Branch No. 64 of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.Surviving the late Mr. Brill are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. William Pahnke of Kaukauna, Mrs. A.J. Brielmaier and Miss Laura Brill of Milwaukee; on son, Edmund Brill of Milwaukee; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bast of Green Bay; eight granchildren. Obituary - Kaukauna Times Feb 10, 1928 Death Claims Poineer Local Man Thursday Heart Trouble Causes Sudden Demise of Robert Brill at Home Here Robert Brill, 71 years of age, a resident of Kaukauna for the past sixty-eight years, died suddenly at his home on Fifth street Thursday morning form the effects of a heart attack. Mr. Brill had been active up to the time of his death, but had been warned by his physicians to refrain from undue exertion. Thursday morning, while his wife was attending the early morning services at St. Mary's church, Mr. Brill busied himself in sweeping off the sidewalk at the Brill home here. When his wife arrived home after church, she found Mr. Brill lying on the kitchen floor. A physician was notified, but Mr. Brill was already dead, his demise having undoubtedly come before he struck the floor.The deceased man was born at Grandville, Walworth county, on February 26, 1856, and who there for would have been 72 years of age the latter part of this month. At the age of four he came to Kaukauna with his parents, and has lived here ever since. He was married to Miss Lena Millertz at New London fourty-two years ago. Up to a year ago, Mr. Brill had been in the employ of the Combined Locks Paper company. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church in this city and a member of Branch No. 64 Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.Surviving the deceased man is his widow, three daughters, Mrs. William Pahnke of Kaukauna, Mrs. A.J. Brielmaier and Miss Laura Bill of Milwaukee; on son, Edmund Brill of Milwauke; one sister, Mrs. Mary Bast of the McCormick Memorial Home at Green Bay; eight grandchildren.
