- Age 78, died suddenly late Saturday, March 5, 1988 at Appleton Medical Center. She was born Oct 16, 1909 in Dundas, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Peters) Rademacher. She was born, raised and lived all of her life in the Kaukauna area. She married Leonard VanZeeland on Jun 23, 1935; that marriage of 20 years was fulfilled with eight children. In 1980, she married Ray Ederer. Ruby was an avid golfer. She was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Queen of Peace Choir and the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters, the Ladies Knights of Columbus, and the A.A.R.P. Survivors include five sons and four daughters-in-law; John and Carol, Ken (Chops) all of Kaukauna. Tony and Pat, Mesa, Arizona; David (Moe) and Mary, Marty and Barb, all of Kaukauna;, a stepson and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Carol Ederer, Kaukauna; three daughters and sons-in-law: Yvonne and Don Vander Velden, South Milwaukee; Ruth and Jim Fritz, Poway, California; Alice and Jerry Albrecht, Monroe; a brother and two sisters-in-law Allen and Clara Rademacher, Kaukauna, Fedelia Rademacher, Appleton; three sisters and brothers-in-law: Grace and Ray Prange, Sacramento, California; Lucille and Ambrose Hammen, Little Chute; Marie and Herman Kees, Hilbert; 26 grandchildren; Roy, John R., Karen, Donna, Michael, Terri Anne, Susan, Leonard, Alan, David, Timothy, Jennifer, Nathan, Dana and Aaron Van Zeeland; Kelley, Brian, Mary Leigh and Kristen Vander Velden; Bruno, Alex, Sara, Lisa, Fritz, Jay, Johnny and Karen Albrecht; four step grandchildren: Barbara, Terry, Ken and Todd Ederer and a great-grandchild Tenia Reitz. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leonard Van Zeeland, on May 27, 1956, her second husband, Ray Ederer, on Sept 2, 1981; and a brother, Marcell. The funeral service will be at 10:30 am Wednesday, March 9, 1988 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kaukauna, with Father Jack Mullarkey officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends ,ay call at the Fargo Funeral Home, 400 W Wisconsin Ave., Kaukauna from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 8:39 a.m. Wednesday until the cortege leaves for the church. There will be a parish prayer service at 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. A memorial has been established in her name.
