- Weyenberg, James J.James J. Weyenberg, of Kaukauna, age 58, died on Wednesday, January 25, 20 06, at Cherry Meadows after a courageous two year battle with cancer. He w as born October 1, 1947, to John and Anne (Janssen) Weyenberg in Appleto n. Jim married Beverly Hennes on September 10, 1971, at St. Aloysius Catho lic Church. He attended UW Oshkosh earning a Bachelor of Science Degr ee in Special Education in 1978. Following graduation, he taught as a spec ial education teacher at Plamann school in Appleton. Jim enjoyed woodworki ng, fishing, and hunting. On weekends, he would enjoy spending time on t he boat and by the campfire at their cottage on Legend Lake. Jim was al so fond of his numerous beagles he had raised over the years. They made nu merous rabbit hunting trips on the weekends with his friends and family. L et's not forget the famous rabbit feeds down in "Johnny's" basement. Musc le cars were always an important and fun hobby that Jim shared with his so n. He especially took great pride in cruising around town and doing burnou ts in his 1971 gold Chevelle.He is survived by his wife, Beverly; his son, Peter (Ann) Weyenberg; his d aughter, Julie (special friend, Jared Bothe) Weyenberg; his mother, Anne W eyenberg; three brothers: Richard (Louis) Weyenberg, Raymond (Janie) Weyen berg and Chuck (Nancy) Weyenberg; three sisters: Carol (Greg) Coenen, J an Minten and Dorothy Lamers. He is also survived by Beverly's family: mot her and father-in-law, Gordon and Gilda Hennes; four brothers and sisters- in-law: Bob (Kris) Hennes, Jim (Gail) Hennes, Rick (Kris) Hennes, Glen (Ka thy) Hennes; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.He was preceded in death by his father, John; his nephew, Ken Weyenberg; a nd two brothers-in-law, Gene Minten and Dan Lamers.Jim's Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. on Saturday January 28, 200 6, at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna, with F r. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends will be received on Friday at the Bo ettcher Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna from 4 p.m. u ntil 9 p.m. A 7 p.m. Parish Wake Service is scheduled Friday at the Funer al Home. Friends will also be received on Saturday at Church from 9 a.m. u ntil the time of service. Interment will take place on Monday at the Pari sh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
