- Bissing, Dorothy LouiseDorothy Louise Bissing, age 78, of Appleton, passed away Thursday, June 3 0, 2005, at Parkside Care Center in Little Chute. She was on born Septemb er 8, 1926, to the late Henry and Geraldine (Nelson) Locy. Dorothy marri ed Harold Bissing on October 4, 1949. She was an active bowler and a memb er of a card club. She was excellent at quilting and made many quilts f or her grandsons. She enjoyed her work at both Kimberly-Clark and the Outa gamie County Health Center. Dorothy was also a member of St. Thomas More C hurch.She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold, daughters: Peg (Jim) S teffen of Marshfield; Barb Vance of Hortonville; Deb (Ron) Ivacic of Spenc er; brothers: Dewain (Pat) Locy, Jim (Betty) Locy, Jerry (Mary Ellen) Loc y, Tom (Deb) Locy, sisters: Alice (Bob) Weyers, Delores Driessen, and Ma ry (Roger) Gloudemans, sisters-in-law: Ruth Locy, Florence Locy, and Yvon ne Locy, grandchildren: Dan and Ryan Steffen, Jeremiah Vance, Phil and Ma tt Ivacic, step aunts: Mary Mader and Alice C. Jansen.She was preceded in death by her parents, in-laws, three brothers: Don, Jo hn and Dave Locy and a brother-in-law, Gene Driessen.A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005, at St. Tho mas More Catholic Church, 1810 N. McDonald, Appleton, with Fr. Gerald Fa lk officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of servic es at the church. Inurnment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Appleton.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund is being establi shed.The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of both Affini ty Hospice and Parkside Care Center for their compassion and dedicated car e.
