- Lamers, Florence Loretta, (Pet erson), KimberlyAge 79, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at Appleton Medical Center su rrounded by her children. She was born on May 29, 1923 in Sherwood to Char les and Thresa (Micke) Peterson. Florence married Jake Lamers on June 1, 1 943 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Sherwood. He preceded her in dea th on January 22, 2003. The couple farmed near Kimberly, then at Mackvil le from 1954 until 1958 when they moved to Kimberly. Florence was a devot ed wife and mother. After her children were raised, she worked as an elder ly home aid for Outagamie County, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Ho ly Name Parish. Florence enjoyed flowers, needlepoint, poetry, classical m usic, card games and she was an accomplished writer and Scrabble player. S he was a dear soul, always placing the needs of other before her own.Florence is survived by her loving children, Judy (Dennis) Schumacher, Wri ghtstown; Ralph "Sam"(Mary) Lamers, Kimberly; Diane (Pat) Piette, Oshkos h; Sharry Vander Velden, Kimberly; Al (Debbie) Lamers, Darboy; Tracey Lame rs, Verona; Chris (Jean) Lamers, Kaukauna; a daughter-in-law Nancy Lamer s, Oshkosh; 19 Grandchildren: Laurie (Len) Fredrickson, Marty (Fianc, Nore en) Schumacher, Brett Lamers, Kim (Chris) Lindroth, Luke (Mari), Mike (Sta cy) and Joe Lamers; Charlie and Andy Piette; Jake (Breyann) Vander Velde n, Clayton and Ross Vander Velden; Brad, Abby, Rachel and Zak Lamers; Rebe cca, Nathan and Matthew Lamers; and 9 great-grandchildren.She is further survived by her sisters and sisters-in-law: Ethel Krieck, L ittle Chute, Pat Vandeyacht, Kaukauna, Lilas (Milford) Roehrborn, Kaukaun a, Ida (Ray) Vanden Langenberg, Green Bay, Marie Peterson, Appleton and Do rothy Peterson, Black Creek; Jake's sister and brothers: Agnes Coonen, Kau kauna; John (Germaine) Lamers, Kimberly and Art (Leone) Lamers, Kaukaun a; her pen pal of 64 years, Jean Evanich, and many nieces, nephews and fri ends.Florence was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her step-mothe r, Millie Peterson, two sons: Mike in 1971 and Jim in 2001; two brother s: Robert and Charles Peterson, and a sister, Carol Van Laarhoven.Friends may call on Friday, May 9, 2003, at Holy Name Catholic Church, 6 00 E.
