- Joseph B. Fellenz Of New Holstein Is Called To Rest
New Holsteln. - Joseph B. Fellenz, 57, owner of the New Holstein creamery, died early this morning as a result of a stroke he suffered last night.
He was born Oct. 18, 1885, In he town of Scott, Fond du Lac County, and was the son of Mr. and Mr. Henry Fellenz, He attended
the public schools of West Bend and Kewaskum before going to the Sheboygan Business college, Later he attended the dairy school
at the University of Wisconsin where he learned cheese making. His early experience in cheese making was at the Beechwood,
Cedardale, Silver Creek and Random Lake, spending a year or to it each place as manager of the cheese factories. At Boltonville he
remained for five years as operator of the cheese factory and then moved to Menomonee Falls, where he operated a poultry farm,
In 1920 he married Barbara Zimmer, Menomonee Falls, They moved to Barton, where he was manager of the Barton Farm
Equipment company for two years Later he operated the Cloverdale factory at Random Luke, and the Hammond Dairy company at
Cheeseville.
Mr. Fellenz came to New Holstein in 1926 at which time he purchased the New Holstein creamery. He remained here and
took an active part in civic affairs. At the time of his death he was vice-president of the New Holstein Association of Commerce
and on its board of directors. He was a former president of the local Lions Club and a member of the Equitable Reserve association.
He was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church and of the Holy name society of the church. He belonged to the Catholic Order of
Foresters of Random Lake.
Surviving are the widow and two daughters, Mary Jane, at home, and Kathryn, (Mrs. Walter Wettstein): four brothers, Peter at New Fane, Jacob at Kewauskum:
Bernard, Milwaukee: and Gregor, West Bend; seven sisters: Elizabeth Fellenz, Milwaukee; Mrs. John Jannsen, West Bend; Mrs. Math. (Letters unclear), West Bend,Mrs.
Jac. Schlitz, Milwaukee, Mrs. Peter Schladwieler, Farmer S. Dak. : Mrs. Philip Schladwieler, Orchard Grove, Wis., and Mrs. Stanley Byrnes, Oklahoma City, Okla.. His brother, Anton died five years.
Services will be help Friday morning at 9 O'clock at the Er??-Hoffman Funeral Home and 9:30 at the Holy Rosary church. The Rev. Alfred Pritzl will officiate and
burial will be in St. Mary's cemetery, Menomonee Falls, while the Rev. Mr. Bar will officiate. The body will be in state at the funeral
home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Menominee Falls, Wis.
