- Driessen, Norbert E. 633 George Street KaukaunaAge 88, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 25, 2002 at the A ppleton Medical Center. Nub was born May 1, 1914 in Kaukauna, son of the l ate Edward G. and Lucy (King) Driessen. On May 20, 1941, he married the fo rmer Ann Van Wymeren in Little Chute; she survives. Nub was a skilled patt ern maker, and was employed over the years by Thilmany Pulp and Paper, Gid dings and Lewis, and eventually retired from the Appleton Pattern Works. N ub was also an expert gardener, and many will remember his wonderful veget able and flower gardens. Each year he created a beautiful flower-filled ga rden for all to admire and enjoy. He also enjoyed woodworking and was kno wn for his good eye when it came to hunting for hickory nuts.Survivors include his wife, Ann Driessen of Kaukauna; a daughter, Mary (Bo b) Koch of Oshkosh; a son, Steve Driessen of Denver, Colorado; a son-in-la w, Peter Peterson of Davenport, Iowa; five grandchildren: Stephanie, Ro b, and Adam Koch and Stacey and Amy Peterson; two brothers: Robert (Maria n) Driessen and Leo (Fran) Driessen, both of Kaukauna; two sisters-in-la w: Marion Driessen of Oshkosh and Pat (Donald) Siebers of Little Chute. N ub was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Janet Ann Peterson; s isters: Lozelle (Jule) Schommer and Margaret (Tip) Reetz; and brothers: Qu intin (Helen) Driessen, Everett (Julia) Driessen, and Floyd Driessen.The funeral liturgy for Nub will be held at 10 AM Saturday, September 2 8, 2002 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna wi th Fr. Jim Lucas officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Fr iends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5 - 7 PM and again Satur day at the church after 8:30 AM. FARGO FUNERAL HOME
